About us

Candidus is a startup company based in Athens, GA. We focus on developing cost-effective lighting strategies for greenhouse production and develop control systems to help greenhouse growers implement these strategies. Our goal is to help greenhouse growers maximize the return on investment in supplemental lighting systems. We do this by developing methods to control when and how much light is provided by the supplemental lighting strategies. We take into account the current weather conditions, crop photoperiodic requirements, and crop physiological parameters.

Candidus, Inc. was co founded by Drs. Erico Mattos and Marc van Iersel.
